Here are some of the unique features that make the KATANA another breakthrough product:
* Accuton ceramic drivers, whose very low coloration and distorsion
will let you experience stunning accuracy, and amazing transparency;
* High quality Mundorf Supreme capacitors and Goertz Copper Foil inductors;
* Each loudspeaker comes with 3 sets of binding posts. Combining the lower
set (Bass) with one of the two top sets (Highs) allows for bi-wiring/amping,
while also allowing the choice of two high frequencies countour;
* VFlex Extreme technology used in the KATANA and new versions of the
TANTO and VIVACE also offers a tunable bass port to allow fine adjustement
of the speakers behavior in any listening room;
* Luxurious piano black finish, using 8 coats of the hardest polyester
lacquer.

TANTO - VFlex Loudspeakers
Tanto betekent “veel” in het Italiaans". Deze naam is echt toepasselijk voor een luidspreker die de laagste noten van een pijp-orgel kan reproduceren en een klein audiotorium kan vullen met levendig klanken zonder ook maar ooit hun compositie te verliezen.

De Tanto is een 1.5 weg full range luidspreker, met een 16.5 cm mid/bass driver en een 19 mm Ring Radiator Tweeter. De mid/bass driver heeft géén crossover, de tweeter heeft slechts één capacitor in de signaalweg. Aangezien de mid/bass driver rechtstreeks verbonden is met de versterker en het volledige midden en laag gebied (tussen 20 en 5000Hz) voor zijn rekening neemt, zijn TANTO speakers eigenlijk full-range designs. TANTO kunnen, naast laag vermogen versterkers, ook aangestuurd worden met hoog vermogen versterkers, zonder tekenen van stress of agressiviteit in het geluid. |

TANTO
v.2 loudspeakers are new for 2008, and they add spectacular improvements
to this award-winning loudspeaker. The cabinet has been improved
even more, with tighter and more rigid mortise and tenon construction.
They now sport the new sleek and elegant look of the top model KATANA
speakers, and they can be ordered in luxurious piano black finish
for the first time. Gorgeous rosewood or ebony veneers are also
available. Performance has also been enhanced with the new VFlex
Extreme bass loading architecture, which offers a tunable bass port
to match most types of room. Finally, at the request of many customers,
we added a double pair of our newly developed, multi-function, binding
posts to enable bi-wiring/bi-amping capabilities. |
Tanto
means “a lot” in Italian". This name seems quite
appropriate for loudspeakers that can reproduce the lowest notes
of a pipe organ, and fill a small auditorium with vivid sound without
ever loosing their composure. |

The main driver is used in a full range configuration, while a single capacitor is used with the high frequency driver unit. Since the mid/bass driver is directly connected to the amplifier, and totally covers the bass and medium range (from 20 to 5000 Hz), TANTO speakers are actually full-range designs with high frequency extension. TANTO loudspeakers can withstand many hundreds of watts without stressing, never sounding aggressive. They will be be the perfect companions to high power, quality solid state amps. |  |
Using VFlex loading, Tanto reproduce live music with incredible accuracy and with an uncanny sense of "being there". Their soundstage and imaging is equal to the best, achieving headphone resolution, making you literally "hear the room".
